We know many of our customers personalize their vehicles after purchasing them. You may have a non-factory stereo installed, get a bright purple paint job, or apply decals that show the fiery personality of the driver inside.
If this custom equipment was installed by anyone other than the auto manufacturer or dealership, then audio, visual and customized equipment coverage is an important part of your customer’s auto policy.
That's why it's important for us to ask our customers if they added anything to their vehicle after purchasing it.
What it covers
Just a few examples of covered, non-factory or non-dealer added equipment include:
- Radios and stereos
- DVD players
- Custom murals, paint, decals or other graphics
- Custom engines and fuel systems
Keep in mind
Often audio, visual and customized equipment must be valued at more than $1,000 to be eligible and comprehensive and collision coverages are required. No additional deductible applies.
